What is Scuba Review Online?

Whether you are a certified PADI Diver or certified through another organization, the Scuba Review program is a great way to refresh your diving knowledge and skills. PADI's Scuba Review Online provides the convenience and flexibility to complete a prescriptive review of previously learned diving knowledge from the comfort of your home. After completing the knowledge review online, you'll refresh your diving skills in confined water with Tarpoon at either the Miami Beach or Hialeah location.

Please call us on
305-532-1445 or
1-888-DIVE-MIAMI
for more information.

The Scuba Review program is:

  • A great way to brush up on your knowledge and skills after a period of inactivity
  • A good review of important knowledge and skills prior to taking any PADI
    continuing education course.
  • For PADI Open Water Diver course referral students who want a refresher prior to making their open water training dives.
  • For PADI Scuba Divers who want to upgrade to Open Water Diver.
  • A review of important knowledge and skills for the Junior Open Water Diver seeking to upgrade to Open Water Diver.

At anytime during the course, you can contact a PADI Professional at Tarpoon by email or phone to get guidance and help about the topic you are reviewing. You may access Scuba Review Online for up to one year from the date of registration. When you complete the PADI Scuba Review program, you’ll feel comfortable getting back into the water knowing that you have reviewed important information and refreshed your diving skills.

Getting Started

Prerequisites

To participate in a Scuba Review program, you must be at least 10 years of age and be a certified diver or enrolled in a scuba training program.

Course Description

Scuba Review Online is an assessment-based, prescriptive review of your basic diving knowledge. As you go through each assessment, you'll only receive feedback when you answer a question incorrectly. The feedback will include the correct answer and a brief review of the material on which the question was based. This means you don't waste time reviewing topics you already understand.

The topics covered by the Scuba Review Online assessments are:

  • Safe Diving Practices
  • Dive Planning Fundamentals
  • Problem Management
  • Breathing Air at Depth
  • Recreational Diving and Dive Tables: Basic Knowledge
  • Recreational Diving and Dive Tables: Dive Planning

After you complete the final assessment, you'll go through the Confined Water Skills Preview. This section includes information about each skill, including why it is important, points to remember when performing the skill and a short video clip. Completing this section just before participating in the Confined Water Skills Review at Tarpoon is a great way to refresh your knowledge of how each skill is performed.

After completing the Scuba Review Online, you'll print a Certificate of Completion from your computer. You will then contact Tarpoon to schedule your Confined Water Skills Review. During the Confined Water Skills Review you will refresh and practice your diving skills in the underwater environment under the supervision of a PADI Professional.

Note: The course fee for Scuba Review Online does not include any costs that you may incur when completing the Confined Water Skills Review at Tarpoon.
