As a certified NAUI or PADI Open Water Diver, you have the freedom to dive anywhere in the world to a depth of 60-ft (18-m) with a buddy. A PADI Jr Open Water Diver between the ages of 10 and 12 years may only dive with a PADI Professional, a certified parent or certified guardian to a maximum depth of 40-ft (12-m).
Who can start an Open Water Class?
Anybody over the age of 10 can partake in a PADI Open Water class, 12 for NAUI students. Participants should be able to swim 200-yards (180-m) and be medically fit. A Doctor’s clearance will be required for certain medical conditions.
How long will the class take?
We offer four class schedules:
Private Class
Private classes can be scheduled for a maximum of one or two people. The program is focused around
providing the optimum in service by holding classes based on the client’s schedule. Arrangements can also be made for dives to be made in privacy.
Group Class
Group classes are held for two evenings per week for two weeks, with the Open Water dives being held on the next available weekend. Classes are for four to eight students.
Three Day Class
Three-day classes are scheduled to be completed in three consecutive days. Students must have read the Open Water Manual, watched the DVD and have finished the Knowledge Reviews prior to the class beginning. Classes are for four to eight students.
Weekend Class
Weekend classes are scheduled with classes being held on the weekends only. This full-certification class can be completed in only two weekends. Classes are for four to eight students.
Family Class
Family classes are a private class for a group four to eight students. They are held on a schedule tailored to the group’s requirements.

keep; a DVD is loaned to you for viewing prior to the class. In addition, the cost of the class includes the Instructor throughout the class, use of our regularly maintained SCUBA equipment and tanks, pool sessions,
two trips with two dives on each trip, and a certification card.
What will I need?
Students will need to provide a mask, snorkel, fins and weights for each pool and ocean dive. A wetsuit may also be needed depending upon water temperature. All equipment is available for purchase with a student discount
applied. Wetsuits are available for sale or rent.
